THE FIRST HRD PROGRAMME FOR FACULTY MEMBERS

The first HRD programme for the faculty members was held on 20th Jan 2018. Mrs. Kausalaya Rajan, The Principal, PEM School of excellence, CBSE, Tirupur was the resource person to provide the training for the faculty members.

The Director and the Principal of the SNS Academy were present for the sessions that followed. The external speaker’s introduction towards Human Resource Development and the strength of the students were discussed for the development of the students’ community. The Faculty member’s abilities of academic session were one of the main issues which were focused. Our beloved Chairman and Madam Correspondent had acknowledged with appreciation the program.

Emphasis was given on the Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation of CBSE methodology for assessing the students. Peer group assessment, teacher assessment, parent assessment and self assessment, should be done to provide complete profile of students. Regular observation of students by teachers can be the yard-stick for academic excellence.

Share the assessment criteria with the students. Recognize and encourage specific abilities of the students with co- curricular areas. The growth of CCE and the stability of the students are necessary. The resource person concluded summarizing her discussion with three points. Children are sent to school to be disciplined, the outcome of their learning should bring about a transformation in an individual, like a coarse rock turned into a pebble, or a potter molding clay. The session came to an end, with a note of gratitude from Ms.Geetha Srinivasan to the guest speaker Mrs. Kausalya Rajan and with a round of applause.
